Mari started playing the harp at age 9 under the guidance of Meinir Heulyn and later went on to study with Caryl Thomas at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. During her time at the College, Mari won numerous national and international awards for both solo and chamber playing, including the special prize at the Hungary international harp competition, Royal Welch fusilier’s prize and the Daniel Emlyn Davies award. Mari has performed for the Royal family on several occasions and performed in Hong Kong as part of the World Harp Congress. She gave her debut solo at the Royal Albert in 2015 after winning the rotary young musician of the year. She was a finalist of the RWCMD Chamber prize twice as well as the concerto competition. Mari is currently studying for her masters in music performance at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Prof. Sarah O’Brien.
